Black on Black Racism by Ricky Coleman
"African-Americans have long struggled for civil rights and equality in all phases of their lives. Some blacks have been victims of racism and prejudice from whites who, were afraid of them acquiring their land, jobs, and children. I view racism as bigotry towards a group of people, which leads to stereotyping them based on uneducated and undeveloped assumptions; displaying negative actions towards a person or a group of people based solely on pure ignorance. Ignorance in fact plays a massive role in racism. In my eyes, ignorance is the downplaying of decisions, actions, or thoughts of another person because they share different views. Racism is a product of close mindedness and narrow mindedness. When a person has those two characteristics, regardless of their acknowledgment, they are racist. African-American people thought that after years of fighting for civil rights that racism would soon end. However, my personal experiences display evidence that racism still exists, but in a broader and more alarming effect. I believe black people are racist towards one another at a more disturbing rate than white people are towards blacks".
It seems like this applies to some individuals right here.
Of course there are arguments that state that racism implies power over another group of people, yet the definition and boundries of racism are constantly changing.
